Fuel Tank Explosion Sparks Major Fire at Garowe Petrol Station, One Injured

GAROWE, (Idilnews) — A fuel tank truck caught fire at the 3CCC Petrol Station in Garowe, Puntland.  On Saturday evening, sparking a massive blaze that spread to nearby buildings,   local journalists reported.

Firefighters in the city worked through the night to contain the inferno, which resulted from an explosion of the fuel tank.  One person was injured  though no fatalities or major casualties were reported.

The fire caused significant damage to surrounding businesses  with several cars also destroyed in the incident.

“There is nothing left of us; the fire was caused by overcharged fuel, and the fire brigade arrived late,” a representative of 3CCC Petrol Traders said.

One resident who lost his car in the fire said, “The car I worked with was destroyed, but God gave it to us, and He will give it to us again.”
