The Puntland Development Research Center (PDRC) has once again hosted a significant Peace Conference in Garowe, bringing together Puntlanders, Somali leaders and members of the international community.
This meeting highlights Puntland’s growing reputation and influence within the Horn of Africa, as well as its role as a hub for political stability and strategic information exchange.
The annual event is seen as a crucial platform for discussing key issues, promoting dialogue and fostering greater orientation on the region’s developmental priorities. The PDRC established in 1999 just a year after the formation of the Puntland government has made substantial progress in fulfilling its mandate over the past 25 years.
A well-regarded non-governmental think tank, the PDRC has consistently produced valuable insights, recommendations and analysis that continue to serve the region’s governance and social progress.
Its contributions remain critical as Puntland seeks to further strengthen its stability and enhance its political and social frameworks.
The international community, recognizing the importance of Puntland’s peace and stability, continues to support and participate in these annual conferences and underscoring the region’s pivotal role in shaping Somalia’s future.
