Somalia Transport and Aviation Minister Mohamed Oomaar tells Idil News that the item was found during baggage screening, police are still investigating Saturday’s incident.
Idil news has confirmed that the man arrested by Somali Airport Security carrying teargas in his luggage is a British citizen.
He was trying to catch an Ethiopian airline flight to Addis Ababa in Saturday.
The man has been working for a foreign private company in Mogadishu.
